Hours for the Midland City Landfill are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., and Saturdays (March through November) 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Township residents are allowed to take one trailer load, maximum of 3 cubic yards, to the Midland Landfill FREE each month. The load may consist of yard waste, regular household waste, one appliance, and demolition or construction material. No tires or liquids are accepted. Fee for dumping construction material beyond the 3 cubic yard load is $10.00/yard and $5.50/yard for other materials.

Republic Waste Services became the Township’s solid waste collector on January 1, 2014. The solid waste collection day is Thursday each week for all residences. We recycle every other week on Thursdays. See the informational sheets: Ingersoll Township Notification Letter, Curbside Recycling Guidelines and 2023 Recycling Schedule Dates.
Please refer to the 2023 calendar for your recycling schedule. Your carts should be placed at the curb NO LATER THAN 6:00 am on your collection day. Make sure you have placed your carts a minimum distance of four feet from all objects and back from edge of the road during snowplowing days..
If you should have a large item for pickup, please call Republic Services and schedule a pickup. Large items are defined as stoves, water tanks, washing machines, furniture, swing sets, patio furniture, chairs, couches, bed springs, water heaters, mattresses and other large waste materials. Freon bearing appliances such as refrigerators, air conditioners and freezers will be collected. NO TIRES ACCEPTED.
Ingersoll Township has a landfill for brush and yard waste. No building material are allowed. The landfill is located on the south side of Kent Road between Sasse Road and Poseyville Road. The Landfill is open Saturday and Sunday between the second Saturday in April and the last Sunday in November. Hours are 8 am – 6 pm.
